EDUCATION AND WORK
Lyric soprano Johanna Lehesvuori has been noted for her powerful and sensual voice, amazing coloraturas as well as for her delicate interpretation. She received her MA in music at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm (2016), studying under Christina Billing. Her international debut was in the title role in “Suor Angelica” in Teatro di san Girolamo (2017). After that she sung Naiad (Strauss’ “Ariadne auf Naxos”) in The Royal Danish Opera (2020) and Grand Theatre of the City of Luxembourg (2021). She made her debut in the Finnish National Opera in 2017 as Vedenneito (Melartin’s “Aino”).

She is a finalist of the Helsinki Lied Competition (2015) and Nordic-Baltic Vocal Competition by the Pille Lill Music Festival (2017) and the winner of the 3rd place at the Kangasniemi Vocal Competition (2017).
