The White Hall

The White Hall of the Estonia Theatre connects the concert hall with the theatre hall. For many years, the White Hall has been the location of the formal reception of the President of the Republic on 24 February, the anniversary of the Republic of Estonia. The hall is open to the audience as a café before shows and during intermissions.

The White Hall also includes a so-called VIP Room which is reserved for the most special guests, such as the President of Estonia.

The Hall also houses the sculptures Dawn and Twilight.

Dawn and Twilight by August Weizenberg

At the opening of the theatre and concert house on 24 August 1913, the sculptor August Weizenberg, one of the pioneers of Estonian national art, donated two of his most beautiful works, Dawn and Twilight, to the theatre. They were relocated to the Kadriorg Art Museum in 1919.

Thanks to the support of Enn Kunila, a patron of the arts, Dawn and Twilight have returned to the Estonia Theatre as plaster copies to mark the 100th anniversary of the building.
