We start the new year with a bang – with the musical "Cabaret" (directed by AnnaKarin Hirdwall), which premieres on February 9. We will also continue on the concert wave and delight the audience with a symphony concert on March 7, a Women's Day concert on March 8, and a concert performance of G. Rossini's opera "La donna del lago" ("The Lady of the Lake") on April 12. To the delight of dance lovers, A. Adam's ballet "Giselle" (directed by Michael Pink) and the Dance Day Gala will be ready for the stage in April, as well as the exclusive "Jazz Ballet Club" performed only four times in late May – early June.
Next season will end in a totally extraordinary way. Namely, G. Puccini's opera "Madama Butterfly" (directed by Rodula Gaitanou) will be premiered on May 24 as part of an international cooperation project. The project is a collaboration between six Italian opera houses and the Estonian National Opera, and the production will be performed in both Italy and Estonia.
Welcome to the Estonian National Opera!
