Tonight is the premiere of the opera The Magic Flute, where fantastic music and a multi-directional narrative offer the opportunity for various interpretations. The magical story will be presented to the audience by director Vilppu Kiljunen (Finland), the artist of the production Kimmo Viskari (Finland), lighting artist Anton Kulagin and music director Arvo Volmer.

The Magic Flute by Mozart is the most widely played German opera of all time, the content of which has been debated and speculated about the clues and secret messages hidden in it. It seems that The Magic Flute is like a bottomless well from which to draw endless new approaches. The play is carried by an enlightened way of thinking: a belief in a better tomorrow, a belief in change and the triumph of the mind.

Director Vilppu Kiljunen: “It is a so-called hybrid work with several thematic directions. On the other hand, this is the unique strength of the work: it is the work of talented, highly motivated and inspired authors, whose fantastic music and multi-directional narrative create space for ever new and new interpretations.”

The Magic Flute is full of hope, which wants to believe in the potential of a person. “Personally, I think that the most important task of art in today's world is to create a new and better world,” believes Kiljunen.
