EDUCATION AND WORK
Armaz Darashvili obtained his bachelor’s (2005) and master’s degree (2007) from Tbilisi State Conservatoire with Prof. Lamara Goglichidze and Prof. Nodar Andghuladze. In 2010–2011, he furthered his education in the School of Italian Opera of the Foundation of the Community Theatre of Bologna with Prof. Sabrina Modena. In 2005–2007, he worked at Vaso Abashidze Music and Drama Theatre, where he performed Eduardo in Rossini’s “La Cambiale di Matrimonio”. Since 2007, Armaz Darashvili is a soloist with the Tbilisi State Opera and Ballet, where he debuted as Malkhaz in Paliashvili’s “Daisi” as well as a soloist with the M. Balanchivadze Kutaisi State Opera and Ballet since 2019. In 2013, Darashvili toured with Tbilisi State Opera in Estonia (Saaremaa Opera Days), where he performed the role of Duke of Mantua in Verdi’s “Rigoletto”. He has also appeared as a guest soloist in Community Theatre of Bologna, Reggio Emilia Opera Theatre, Teatro Pavarotti-Freni di Modena, Teatro Manzoni di Bologna, Teatro Lirico di Cagliari, Teatro Verdi di Firenze among others. 

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS 
In 2007, he won the First Prize in Baku, at the Byulbyul International Vocalists Competition. In 2008, he became a diploma-winner of Julián Gayarre International Singing Competition (Pamplona, Spain). In 2010, he won the Lado Ataneli Vocal Competition.
