Flute

(Section Principal)

Esther Dorado Suela is the principal flute of the Estonian National Opera since autumn 2021. She is celebrated for her remarkable technique, refined musicality, and beautiful sound. Her orchestral career has led her through Europe performing with orchestras such as Orquesta Sinfónica de Talavera, Västerås Sinfonietta, and the Royal Opera in Stockholm, among others. Her professionality and well-disposed attitude have made her a prominent flutist in her home country as well as in the Nordic countries.
Esther Dorado combines her role as an orchestral flutist with a growing career in chamber music and a keen interest in teaching. She has an active chamber music project with Elias Gustafsson in Elier Duo, a flute and percussion duo, specializing in creating new arrangements for flute and marimba.
Esther obtained her Bachelor’s degree at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Castilla y León in Spain with Pablo Sagredo. After that, she completed her Master’s with a specialisation in Orchestral Performance with Tobias Carron at the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm, where she was honoured with several scholarships from the Kungliga Musikaliska Akademien.
