Joonas Mikk

Joonas Mikk has been involved in music since the age of four. He has a deep love for both theatre and music. He is currently studying piano under the guidance of teacher Johan Randvere at the Tallinn School of Music and Ballet and sings in the boys’ choir of the Estonian National Opera.

At the age of five, he took part in the XI Boys’ Soloist Singing Competition organized by the Estonian Male Choirs Association, where he reached the finals. At seven, he competed in the XII edition of the same competition, winning first place in the preschool boys’ category. As a soloist, he has performed in numerous projects and appears in several productions at the Estonian National Opera, including Mozart’s “The Magic Flute”, Wagner’s “Lohengrin”, Kaumann’s “The Three Jolly Fellows”, Donizetti’s “Don Pasquale”, and as Mr. Nilsson in the musical “Pippi Longstocking” by Vinter and Raudmäe.

Joonas has also acted in several films. In 2022, he appeared in Silver Õun’s short film “Mirror in the Mirror” and in the short film “Child’s Play” the same year. For his role in “Mirror in the Mirror”, he was nominated for Best Leading Actor at the Best of BFM Film Festival. In 2024, he took part in Liina Triškina–Vanhatalo’s feature film “Lioness”, which won the Best Film award at the 2025 EFTA Gala.
