EDUCATION AND WORK
Juhan Tralla graduated from the Estonian Academy of Music as a violinist in 1997 (Prof. Mari Tampere-Bezrodny) and studied singing with Prof. Mati Palm. In 1998–2002 he studied singing with Gerhard Kahry at the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Wien. During the following two years he studied in Prof. Toma Popescu’s Opera Studio and in 2008 with maestro Carlo Bergonzi in Accademia Verdiana. In 2000–2003, he was employed as a soloist at the Volksoper in Vienna and in 2003–2005 as the soloist at Deutsches Nationaltheater and Staatskapelle Weimar. Since 2009, he is the soloist of Nationaltheater Mannheim and since 2015, he is a singing teacher at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre. 

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
He has been awarded several awards, including the Grand Prix at the Tiit Kuusik Singing Competition (1998), the Grand Prix at the Sabin Dragoi International Singing Competition in Timisoara (2003). In 2007, Juhan Tralla represented Estonia at the 2007 BBC Cardiff Singer of the World competition.
