EDUCATION AND WORK
Charlotte-Anne Shipley read Music at Oxford University, where she held a choral scholarship. Despite applying as an instrumentalist (piano & clarinet), during her three years as an undergraduate she became heavily involved in the choral scene and soon became sought-after as a soprano soloist with all the major university choirs. Charlotte studied at the Rome Opera Studio for two years, where she worked with Italian soprano Renata Scotto.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
In 2013, she was a finalist in the Montserrat Caballe International Competition, and was subsequently invited to masterclasses with Montserrat Caballé at the Liceu in Barcelona. Over the past few years, Charlotte has won numerous prizes in international competitions, such as the Concorso Internazionale Zandonai (Riva del Garda), La Fenice Versilia (Lucca), Concorso Spazio Musica (Orvieto), Concorso Umberto Giordano (Foggia), Concorso Benvenuto Franci (Pienza) and Concorso Salvatore Licitra (Milano).
