Fulvio Zamagna

EDUCATION AND WORK
Born in Milan, Fulvio Gabriele Zamagna began his professional training at the Accademia Teatro alla Scala in 2012, graduating in 2020. He began his professional career at the South Bohemian Theatre in the Czech Republic, and later joined the Sibiu Ballet Theatre in Romania, where he performed in productions including Prokofiev’s “Romeo and Juliet” and Tchaikovsky’s “The Nutcracker”.

As a freelancer, Fulvio worked with several international companies, including Hong Kong Ballet and English National Ballet, where he performed in “Swan Lake in-the-Round” by Derek Deane. He subsequently joined Scottish Ballet, performing in productions such as “The Crucible”, “The Nutcracker” and the world premiere of Sophie Laplane’s “Mary, Queen of Scots”. He later joined the National Ballet of Slovenia, performing “Bolero”, “The Rite of Spring” and “The Nutcracker”. Most recently, Fulvio danced with Alberta Ballet in Canada, performing in “Swan Lake”, “Romeo and Juliet” and Roland Petit’s “Notre-Dame de Paris”. In autumn 2026, he joined the Estonian National Ballet.

MEMORABLE MOMENT IN BALLET 
“One of the most memorable moments of my career was having the opportunity to work with the renowned ballet master Luigi Bonino during the staging of Roland Petit’s “Notre-Dame de Paris” with Alberta Ballet in Canada. Working directly with him and experiencing his knowledge, precision and connection to Roland Petit’s choreography was an extremely valuable experience for me, both artistically and personally. It was a great honour to be part of this production and to learn from someone so closely connected to Petit’s work”.
