Janne Ševtšenko

EDUCATION AND WORK
Janne Shevtshenko graduated from the Estonian Academy of Music in 1998 as a student
of Anu Kaal. During the years 1992–2004, she was engaged at the Estonian National Opera
as a chorus singer. Since 2004, she is the soloist in the same company. Her debut as an opera
singer was in 1999 as Zerlina in Mozart’s “Don Giovanni”. She has also performed at Von Krahl Theatre and at the revue theatre Bel Etage. 

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
She is the winner of Harjumaa County Prize 2011 and the SEB Audience Award 2013. In 2022, she won the Georg Ots Prize for her remarkable versatility in different genres of the music theatre as well as her original character portrayals.
