Liis Kolle

EDUCATION AND WORK
Liis Kolle is an opera director, lector and music and theatre journalist. She graduated from Tartu University in the field of theatre and literary science (MA) and from Hanns Eisler School of Music as a music theatre director. She has attended the masterclasses of Peter Konwitschny and Volker Schlöndorff and furthered her education in Cimdata Media Academy in Berlin. In 2007–2011 and again from 2015, she is staging in the Opera Studio of the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre. She has also translated plays and opera librettos.

She has won the scholarship of Bayreuth Festival and Deutsche Bank Kulturstiftung and been nominated for the Estonian State Cultural Award as well as the Annual Estonia Theatre Award.
