EDUCATION AND WORK
Monika-Evelin Liiv graduated from Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre in 2007 (Prof. Mati Palm). She continued her studies at the Lithuanian Music Academy (the singing class of Sigutė Stonytė) and attended the Mariinsky Theatre Young Singers Summer Academy in Mikkeli (2005). She has also participated in the master classes of Irina Gavrilovic, Maria Acda, Larissa Gergijeva, Hartmut Höll, Maria Cleva, Vladimir Atlantov and Jeffrey Goldberg. In 2007–2009, she was included in the Jette Parker Young Artists Programme.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
Monika-Evelin Liiv has won the 2nd prize in the Studio Bel Canto Vocal Competition (2006) and the 3rd prize in the Mart Saar Song competition (2002). In 2013, Monika-Evelin Liiv was awarded the Annual Estonian Theatre Award for the convincing and vocally high-level performance of Julius Caesar and Cornelia in Händel’s opera “Julius Caesar” and in 2017 for the impelling interpretation of Amneris in Verdi’s “Aida”. She is also the winner of the Estonian Cultural Endowment Award 2015.
