Talvi Hunt

Talvi Hunt is an Estonian pianist active in the field of contemporary music. She performs regularly with international ensembles and orchestras including Collegium Novum Zürich, Ensemble Ascolta, Ensemble Ö, Lucerne Symphony Orchestra, Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra, Lucerne Festival Contemporary Orchestra. Her festival and concert series appearances have included Lucerne Festival, Festival ECLAT, reMusik, Warsaw Autumn, ArsMusica, PianoEspoo, Ruhrtriennale – Festival der Künste, Klang Basel, ISCM World New Music Days, Baltic Music Days etc. Talvi is a member of Ensemble of Nomads (Switzerland) and Ensemble for New Music Tallinn (Estonia) as a pianist and one of the artistic directors.
Talvi holds a Bachelor of Music Performance from the Estonian Academy of Music and Theater (the class of Age Juurikas) and a Master in Contemporary Music Interpretation from Hochschule Luzern Musik (the class of prof. Florian Hoelscher). She participated also in different workshops and projects at the Danish National School of Performing Arts in the field of improvisation and collaboration with contemporary dance. Talvi has attended many masterclasses, as well as contemporary music courses, such as Darmstadt 48th Internationalen Ferienkursen für Neue Musik, IMPULS Academy, Lucerne Festival Academy, Donaueschinger Musiktage.
She is currently based in Switzerland as a freelance pianist and has been invited for workshops and masterclasses at Hochschule Luzern Musik and Estonian Academy for Music and Theatre.
