EDUCATION AND WORK

Triinu Upkin studied at Ida Dance School (1995–2006) and at Tallinn Ballet School (2006–2007). Since 2007, she is a member of the Estonian National Ballet and her repertoire includes also smaller soloist roles in the company’s productions.

 

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

Triinu Upkin has been awarded 1st prize at Children’s Ballet Festival in Latvia (2003 and 2004) and the Award of the Best Actress at Tartu School Theatres’ Festival (1995 and 2004). She has also been the finalist of International Stora Daldansen Ballet Competition (Sweden, 2004 and 2005). In 2013, she received the Klaudia Maldutis Award by Estonia Society Foundation.
