EDUCATION AND WORK
Uwe Stickert started his musical studies at the age of seven at the Musical School Schloß Belvedere in Weimar. He graduated from University of Music Franz Liszt in Weimar with Prof. Mario Hoff. He has performed in the Komische Oper Berlin, Aalto Musiktheater in Essen, Opéra de Nice, Nationaltheater Mannheim, Théâtre Grand Avignon, Theater Erfurt among others. He has worked with renowned conductors, such as Sir Neville Marriner, Daniel Barenboim and Adam Fischer. His recordings include the world premiere recording of Otto Nicolai’s “Il Proscritto” (CPO, 2016) and Countess Anna Amalia’s “Erwin and Elmire” as well as “Bohemian Christmas” (Berlin Classics, 2015) and Othmar Schoeck’s “Schloss Dürande” (Claves 50, 2019).
