Would you like to discover more about the Estonia Theatre and the work of the Estonian National Opera?

Join a one-hour pre-performance tour of the Estonia Theatre, explore the beautiful historic building, and see what happens behind the scenes before the curtain rises. Every tour is unique, just like the performance that changes each evening. You may have the chance to step backstage, visit workshops, or even encounter singers and dancers along the way. You will also gain fascinating insight into the building’s architecture, stage constructions, opera and ballet productions, and much more.

Pre-performance guided tours

Tours take place on Fridays and Sundays (in Estonian) and on Saturdays (in English) beginning from the foyer. Morning tours focus on the backstage life of the theatre and are especially suited for families with children. Tours in Russian take place once a month. The tours are planned only on the days when there are performances in the main venue. Tours are not available on public holidays and before premieres.

Price: 10 €
It is possible to buy the ticket for the tour without buying a ticket for the performance.

Booking guided group tours for other days

Group tours are conducted in Estonian, but also in Russian, English, Finnish, Spanish and German, depending on the availability of the guide. Tours take place from Monday to Friday, exceptionally also on weekends. Groups of children must be accompanied by at least one adult, who will join the tour for free.

Discount price 7 €.
The minimum fee of the guided tour is 100 € (this applies both to smaller groups and discout tickets). It is possible to pay in cash and by invoice. Discount is personal and available only when a valid document (student card issued in the Republic of Estonia or ISIC/ITIC card) is submitted.
