The Estonian National Opera launches its new season in lively fashion with its annual Theatre Fair, inviting audiences to enjoy highlights both inside the theatre and around the building.

The highlight of the day is the free “Estonia 120” concert in the main auditorium, featuring beloved performers and audience favourites that reflect more than a century of Estonia’s theatrical history. The programme includes ballet and operetta, and at the end of the ballet programme, the Estonia Theatre Friend 2026 will be announced.

In the White Hall, visitors can take a behind-the-scenes look at the first opera production of the new season, Giuseppe Verdi’s “Otello”. Later, the audience will have a chance to meet the newly announced the Estonia Theatre Friend 2026.

During the breaks in the main auditorium programme, the Estonia Restaurant will host introductions to two new productions for children and families.
At 12:50, choreographer Helen Veidebaum and composer Kaspar Jancis will introduce the ballet “Captain Morten and the Ship of Fools”.
At approximately 14:00, director Marta Aliide Jakovski and costume designer Lilja Blumenfeld will introduce the children’s opera “Hansel and Gretel”.
At the end of both presentations, two tickets to the respective production will be raffled among the participants.

Around the theatre, visitors can enjoy the traditional costume, decoration and prop sale, as well as a flea market. At the tent in front of the Estonia Restaurant, you can purchase Estonian National Opera souvenirs and selected performance tickets at discounts of up to 30%. There will also be grilling outside the restaurant, while meals can be enjoyed inside the Estonia Restaurant.

A new issue of the Estoonlane magazine will be published on 28 August and distributed free of charge at the Theatre Fair.

The Estonian National Opera’s supporters will also be present at the fair.

Tallink will raffle four gift cards among everyone who purchases performance tickets during the Theatre Fair:

  • 2 × cruises to Sweden for up to four passengers in an A-Standard sea-view cabin;
  • 2 × return ferry tickets to Finland for two passengers.

Tallink will also distribute flyers with a discount code for a special Tallinn–Stockholm cruise taking place on 18 November, featuring Heidy Tamme, Voldemar Kuslap and the band Horoskoop.

MyFitness will offer discounted gym visit vouchers, while Amserv will display cars in front of the theatre and present special Theatre Fair offers.
