On the eve of All Souls’ Day, St John’s Church will be filled with timeless melodies, quiet reflection and serenity. Estonian National Opera soloists Kristel Pärtna, Elena Brazhnyk, Aule Urb, Heldur Harry Põlda and Tamar Nugis will perform gems of sacred and operatic music. They will be joined by oboist Ingely Laiv-Järvi, cellist Marius Järvi and organist Piret Aidulo.

The programme includes Händel’s “Ombra mai fu”, Gounod’s “Repentir”, Bizet’s “Agnus Dei”, “Ave Maria” by Verdi and Gomez, Wagner’s “Song to the Evening Star” and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Pie Jesu”. Estonian music is represented by works by Artur Kapp, Eduard Tubin and Rene Eespere. Marcello’s Adagio for oboe and Morricone’s “Gabriel’s Oboe” add a distinctive colour to the evening. A beautiful musical interlude inviting the audience to listen, reflect and experience the power of peace and hope.

The curator for the concert is Tarmo Eespere.
