New Year's Eve Ball – Dancing Among the Stars!

Opening waltz at 7:30 pm, doors open from 6:30 pm at the Estonia Theatre entrance. Welcome drink available until 7:30 pm. Cafés and bars are open from 6:30 pm to 1 am. The Theatre House closes at 1:30 am. Box office open from 11 am to 9:30 pm.

The Estonian National Opera invites you to take part in a magnificent New Year’s Eve Ball! You will be welcomed by the brightest stars of Estonia’s dance floors and opera stages. An exclusive concert performance will be presented, along with several surprises in store.

Once again, the traditional opera house is transformed in anticipation of the New Year into a series of enchanting halls filled with surprises and captivating performances. In celebration of the Year of Song and Dance, each hall offers themed entertainment designed to delight and inspire.

In the theatre hall, a specially created production for the evening, “Ode to Dance”, will be performed. The original choreography is by Marina Kesler and Märt Agu.

Taking the stage are dancers of the Estonian National Ballet: Ketlin Oja, Laura Maya, Marcus Nilson, Triinu Upkin, Kim Jana Hügi, Connor Williams, Marjana Fazullina, Nikos Gkentsef, Ellinor Piirimäe, Sacha Barber, Karite-Mirell Mander, Benjamin Pierce, Oscar Pouchoulin and Jevgeni Grib (Theatre Vanemuine), joined by Heldur Harry Põlda, soloist of the Estonian National Opera, the chorus, and the orchestra, as well as Tiit Kikas, under the baton of Jaan Ots.

In the Blue Hall, “Arabesque”, guests are invited behind the scenes of the ballet world to enjoy intimate musical and dance performances. An exclusive appearance will be made by our only singing ballerina, Triinu Upkin, alongside Ketlin Oja, a soloist of the Estonian National Ballet.

In the White Hall, “Tuljak”, the ever-vibrant and dynamic Märt Agu sets the tone with his dance ensemble. Musical interludes will be provided by Henrik Hindrikus on the accordion.

In the Estonia Concert Hall, “Ländler”, the most beloved waltzes of Johann Strauss will be performed by the Estonian National Opera Orchestra, conducted by Lauri Sirp, sweeping the audience off their feet. Later in the evening, the stage will be taken over by the Estonian Dream Bigband under the direction of Siim Aimla.

The Estonia Restaurant “Jupiter” offers a heavenly culinary experience in a cozy atmosphere, with exquisite flavours crafted by Head Chef Alo Stamm. Adding a touch of starlight, Tiit Kikas enchants guests with musical performances on the violin and laser harp.

At Café Colombina’s “Discotheque”, timeless hits from the golden age of disco will fill the air, spun by DJ Heldur Harry Põlda.

Ball ticket (without entrance to the Estonia Restaurant “Jupiter”):

• a ball ticket without the concert performance: price 69 € (admission to various halls of the opera house, except the concert performance in the theatre hall).
• a ball ticket with the concert performance: price 69–110 € depending on the location of the seat in the theatre hall (entrance to different halls of the opera house with the concert performance in the theatre hall).

Ball ticket (with entrance to the Estonia Restaurant “Jupiter”)**:

• a table in the restaurant (by reservation) + a ball ticket without the concert performance in the theatre hall: 165 € per person + 69 €; from November 1st, 180 € per person + 69 € 
• a table in the restaurant (by reservation) + a ball ticket with the concert performance in the theatre hall: 165 € + (69–110 €); from November 1st, 180 € + (69–110 €)
